I think we should discuss this song.
More than that, I didn` t find a topic for Passion` s Killing Floor on the new HIM board...
and here comes a suggestion to talk on this theme.

Good song, now bit underrated, cause we knew it about 3 months before Venus Doom, so everyone already know it from first to last minute. Black Sabbath in the middle is awesome.

I like how the song is mixed up, it's really catchy as well. Not on my top five of Venus Doom, but it's not a bad song at all but than again what H.I.M song is?

I don` t know - why(?), but I `m listening this song in a bunch with Bleed Well? As a first one goes PKF, then BW...
*shrugs*
It feels like Bleed Well is a supplement of Passion` s Killing Floor.

That kinda makes sense--I think I remember reading somewhere that Ville said he wrote the riff for PKF in the late '90's/early '00's, and that BW was 5 years in the making, so I totally hear where you're coming from.

That`s weird. I haven`t heard nothing like that about this couple of songs. This comparison came into my mind unconsciously, when I`ve listened to VD cd a several times.
btw, What did you mean by it? -----> "I totally hear where you`re coming from..."

I was actually excited about the rest of the album when I first heard this song;
It's what I've always wanted in a HIM album. Dark lyrics that sometimes become
Seductive, killer guitar solos, and a dark atmosphere thanks to some outstanding
Riffs and keyboards.
I think Passion's Killing Floor has one of the best riffs in the entire album;
It sort of makes me want think that Ville and/or Linde wanted to create a contrasting
Riff, comparing it to the starting riff of Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly.
I enjoyed learning to play this song on guitar, and it works perfectly on an acoustic too.

Wow...dude, all I can say is its great it hasn't stopped you from rocking out...it must be hard being into heavy music and having christian parents. I've been lucky, ever since I was a kid I've always been into music (rock, metal, goth), vampires, occult - anyway, all the good shit! - and my parents were cool with it and I was even made go to a christian high school but thank god that didn't change me! 666 all the way baby! hahaha....

Does anyone know what Ville says in between versus in Passion's Killing Floor?
I thought I had some of it made out but can't say it on here.
I'm sorry I started a new topic in general discussion yesterday about this.
